Strewth Bob, Maybe We Can Play Canada

That was the panicked line being taken by the Australian Cricket Board last night during an increasingly frantic set of phone calls as the former world beaters searched for a side they might be able to beat.  After 'doing an England' and losing to England but winning two dead rubbers in the five match ODI series, Australia have now lost the T20 series against Pakistan.  Pakistan are not playing at home at the moment due to security issues so the summer series is being played over here allowing thousands of itinerant Australian barmen the chance to see their team play.

In other cricket news, relegation favourites Yorkshire CCC are still top of the County table and are doing well against Warks following yet another good batting display.  Gerard Brophy got a ton in Yorkshire's 425 with Lyth adding 84.  Adil Rashid continues to have a good season with both bat and ball, 29 runs and 4 wickets against Warks already adds to good tallies for the young Yorkshire all rounder.

  1. Yeah, I can't even pretend to be offended, knowing how able our cricketers aren't. But hey, at least there's always a team, which must count for something. ;)
