Nice World, I Think I'll Have It

I have lived my whole life in space, born on a space station I have grown up looking down on the planets. As a pod flyer I buy and trade goods that the earthbound people create, and sell them the things they cannot produce on their own planets, and for many years this has been the way.

Now though things are changing. Why should we buy oxygen and water from temperate planets when we can drop an extractor onto the surface and do it ourselves. Why should the earthbound be allowed to charge ridiculous prices for rare metals and organic compounds when we can simply take it from them ?

Beware you surface dwellers, for your gods have noticed you and come to walk amongst you.
