Sir Quo

They all join the establishment in the end, but to be honest, Status Quo are the establishment, they've been around for ever, and now Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi have been awarded OBE's for their services to music and charity. Well done Sirs, I'm just listening to Forty-Five Hundred Times which you wrote back in the last century.

Also getting a gong today is top Tyke (born in Mirfield, Yorkshire) Patrick Stewart, RSC stalwart, and the best ever Star Trek captain.

"In 1957, at the age of 17, he embarked on a two-year acting course at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He lost most of his hair while still young but he successfully marketed himself to theatre producers after performing an audition with and without a wig, heralding his performance as "two actors for the price of one."
